Car or Van

Recommended Posts

We all have them, but what type of vehicle do you use for work, and what do you think are the benefit's / drawbacks?

I have an Astra 1.7 Envoy estate, (livered up like an ice cream van!! )It's rather basic with no CD or Air Con (I've been spoiled in the past!) but does boast Power steering, electric windows, central locking, air bags and returns around 54 mpg without my ladders and 48mpg with. It does the job and although quite basic I benefit tax-wise ;)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

Yesterday i took delivery of a brand spanking new Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9CDTI in silver, CD player, central locking, Bulkhead and a very sturdy roof rack.

Took it on a 3 year lease including full maintenance with Vauxhall leasing.

Strangely enough the insurance was only£480, £40 more than my old VW Transporter which was on a T plate and 2nd hand.

I drive an ashtray too...

www.interlynxsecurity.co.uk

new stickers next week...

The proper Nacoss logo in GOLD! (just to satisfy our Nacoss insp, who documented it as a non-compliance...) :(

and the web address

the reason we kept the old logo was it had the crown emblem on it, which meant we couldnt get clamped or get parking tickets....

I drive a Renault Kangoo van. Great for fitting loads into, but a problem to park - can't get into any multi-storey car parks, or any areas with a height restriction of less than 2.3m. Thats where you score with a car or car-derived van..

I heard a rumour tho from a previous company that the leese companys dont like the cars signwritten as its a pain to get off when they want to sell the cars after the leese has run out
