its a monitored one, as for whether or not its via phone i dont know!! there is no marking on front of any of the galaxy panels! must be on the back!

now knowing your fasination with alarms mr trekkie i have to ask is this alarm at work under youre responsibility or are you just curious?

just wondering, as the bleeping gets annoying! particularly when im on the computer nearest one of the panels! the 20 odd panic alarms are my reponsibility, the rest of the system isnt!

Well, presumably the PA's are for a very good reason, and if they're your responsibility you will have a duty of care to the users and will definitely want them to work.

So, tackle the people responsible for the system ASAP as no-one here seems to think it's normal and some have suggested it's a communications fault which could render the whole thing useless!

oh they all work! i make dam sure of that! i test all of them monthly!! The comms defo works though as it went off a little while ago very early in the morning! managers got a call lol
