  1. So a further inspection once you have your non conformities sorted? Was it Rod by any chance? Overall my experiance was positive although one mistake I made was thinking that it would be the golden ticket, in real terms it's not...as you are about to find out the cost of approval will be unlikely to be covered early on...that said it's an important foundation for the future though. PM me if you have other questions, no matter how small... What intruder kit do you fit out of interest?
  2. No Carbon Required Matt, did you actually pass? Who was your inspector?
  3. Wouldn't let me without my SSAIB cert
  4. Base you can only get once you have passed SSAIB..... options are really limited with the software TBH for start ups. Base certainly has no remote forms or any kind of remote access/admin, We use electronic forms but there is no requirement for it certification that's for sure, opted for Device Magic in the end. Still requires office admin to process the paperwork though.
  5. ....is the lack of approval causing issues getting/retaining work now?
  6. Not even with a buddy agreement?
  7. They will always give you recommendations/improvements, nothing to panic about at all.
  8. Mr Caveo, just wondering what kit you fit intruder wise....
  9. Had a feeling the Co detector was only compatible with the 2 way Agility not the Wisdom. Adding fobs on the Wisdom is through the engineer menu.
  10. ....in which case do they not offer a "online" tutor?
  11. Is it a Tavcom course? How much was it?
  12. Where do I sign....we have 18 on an estate that need doing!
  13. ...have you been miss sold a security system...
  14. £x? Texecom should cover this under warranty surely if you only installed last week?
  15. Hi, We are looking for subcontractors to fulfill increased workload, predominantly around Exeter area. Experienced with Texecom/Galaxy/Enforcer prefered, covering dayworks/new installs on mainly commercial but occasional domestic. Experience with fire and access would be an advantage but not critical. Occasional nights/weekends maybe offered, as a subby it's your choice if you wish to do them! Rates dependent on experience, we don't pay peanuts as we don't employ monkeys. All invoices are normally settled same day of submission providing all paperwork is completed Standard prerequisites will apply with regards to vetting/insurance and non disclosure agreements. In the first instance please PM with your contact details and a brief bit about your experience. Thanks Richard
  16. ...come on, we have all fallen for it right!
  17. I did the same...managed to drink about 8 cups of plods tea and demolish the biscuit selection....most of totaled about £5.00 ....softened the blow a little...
  18. Well oddly its now started to work, although when I use the test function it still shows failed but pings out fine on motion etc. Did note that GMail was winding back access from machines, hence why I had a quick look at smtp2go etc. all for the response. LBA
  19. Anyone had any issues setting up the email notification on the Hikvision DVRs? Tried various SMTP servers/settings, gmail, easySMTP, SMTP2go etcbut no joy. Tried a couple of machines both on my local LAN and remote to rule out any routing issues. Whenever I try the test function it just fails. Any ideas?
