All these instructions are in the installation manual.
The installer probably has not selected to send the cloud and FM channels at the same time and or changed the events for the users (very unlikely its the latter).
If you log into your cloud online, you can set up the email address for your users, this doesnt appear to affect your FM set on the panel and will give you email notification, it will not give sms notifcations from the cloud itself.
This way in the short term you will get an email for the event, the app should if logged in also get the event directly.

no one has it already then apparently Darwen areas have it available, I spoke to a rep via twitter and didnt need to give any numbers out also there form accepts area code followed by zeros.
installations £40 and 17.99 a month for 100mb service and includes a voip phone line
Time will tell how it gets on.

advertsing for work is good, advertising in a none existant publication is money wasted.
There are no guarentees i life full stop.

Updated some details in the last few days ago online and have been approached again by a different male saying he was representing the police force magazine publication.
1) Called from a with held number
2) Wouldn't give his name
3) Wouldn't give me any contact details.
The guy was nowhere near as confident as the first caller back in May, and didnt get very far at all.
Should be grateful that they are finding my details so quickly I guess.

From memory:-
You can upload download using the GSM number if you have a COM2400 connected to the gsm module via a fly lead utilise the audio port . (Need a good signal strength).
gprs can be used but you program the module as com ip and cant use the gsm facilities and it performs as a com ip module.
Don't have one setup to confirm and not done this for some time.

The joys of forumhood, thanks for everyones input.
like to say the spelling mistake was deliberate but it wasn't, but I am reassured that the post was read at least.

Has anyone got this service, cheap 100Mbs services and voip.
Not available in my area for around 5 months, but as you guys say it as it is wondered if anyone had tried it yet.

I have some forms just wanted to make them simple, and on site simple, dont need lots of paperwork to carry around.
creating an app is easy enough with box's, I always struggle with the save and export to another platform (pc)
Maybe I will create on and then get help from somewhere for the filing systems side.
XML export file or CSV, then can import it back, the csv doesnt need t have headers but the xml would need tag ids.
Thought I had been to Conventry for a while there.

Just thinking about paperwork and how simple it could be?
Check list and value box's so the data is recorded?
But how about the customer contract, just pondering best way, whether it should be just documented as to what they are having or to give them the option for extras at the end.
thanks

as for food prices, the large supermarkets have been robbing people blind for years.
Better to get the supermarkets to have lower prices so everyone can benefit.
Lets face it if those that cant afford food because its expensive (over priced) rely on donations to food banks that others have been over charged for, hardly solving the problem, and the supermarkets get away with making money out of those that care about others?

acts of kindness are always rewarded, but not always as you might expect.
got to admit surprised me that you gave up almost £5.

High gain aerials may help.
I have a system where the aerial has only to moved a very short distance to get adequate reception all the time or nothing, we are talking about a distance of no more than 10 cm between signal problem and no signal problem along a horizontal access, moving vertical higher the same distance seems to have little effect. The closer to the outside wall the better the signal in this case.
Although another gets better signal as it gets into the middle of the house (much larger distance several meters) and I have no idea why that should be the case, but same on the mobile, and the doorway to the kitchen down stairs is the best reception point after that its the front bedroom.
Just extend the fly lead between the com port and gsm module, should be able to get the gsm anywhere you want and you dont have to worry about signal loss due to length of aerial cable.
Just find out the best place for signal in the property and get the module wired to there.

now got my 1720 brand new for a good price so happy.

they have just won a which trusted trader award apparently

Texecom have/ did have an cloakwise detector based on a DT from memory

Risco's newer stuff is 2 way, probably confusing as you can have 1 way and 2 way on the same system and the end user is none the wiser unless they check it out,
-
well the good news is as long as the paperwork matches the unit, they will honour the remainder of the warranty.

no worries i'll take a look and do some reading.
I always make the right call in the end, even if i have to try more than once.

was hoping you would suggest some alternatives that you thought weren't a complete waste of money to start with.
agreed its my pocket, my customers etc, doesn't mean i am not open to advice from established pros?
-
if these are as good as people say a nearly new unit doesn't worry me too much.
Just how far do you suggest cutting the cloth on alternative equipment.
-
Well I may well do yet, but £792 inc vat, seems standard price new, and not been able to find any cheaper, found plenty dearer (electric center 1k unless i am looking in wrong place), £500 second hand then it seems a little much. at £320-350 thats 400 saved over new straight up for a newish mft 1720 and I think I have to consider that seriously.
Money isn't an issue just yet, but you cant keep treating it as a bottomless pit can you.
dont think anyone has sold at £500 touch for the second hand units on the last few days at least.
-
i see a few on ebay holding out for near on the £500 mark on used, and the cheaper ones went for around £350
theres one with a stuck button but have no idea how much it would cost to repair, and if the buttons stuck whats to say something else isnt broke aswell so avoiding that one.
so over the odds at 500 second hand, offered someone more than you suggested for second hand but not by much, its brand new so they claim and it looks like it. so not paying too much over by the looks of things.
thanks thats helped me a fair bit, just see if they except the offer now I guess.

I use the Megger MFT 1720, Get my certificates books direct from the NICEIC website, they are good quality ones
How much do you think i should pay for a nearly new one with `10 month calibration left on it.
I see there about £660+vat new so i would go for less than half, but dont know how strong they hold there value.

Unfortunatley you need to ask your installer to resolve this for you, its their responsability to set this up correctly.
Tweaking a system and having no knowledge of that system is a very dangerous thing, you could inadvertantly make things much worse.
Your fortunate that if the engineer refuses to put it right you could get someone else in to ressolve this for you at a cost as you have access to the engineers code.
