  1. Move to a pay by performance model. You'll save a killing
  2. Skimmer plus code would be useful
  3. Pay for alcohol? Doubt you'd get that past your bosses
  4. I'm looking forward to the day robots can do the job. Electric is cheaper than Stella
  5. Not that I don't agree Adrian, I'd do the same but their argument is if they were at home they could make a meal for £2.50 but are forced to buy one for £7 as they are being forced away from home. Surprising how the offer of a couple of free pints gets volunteers to do those jobs far away.
  6. If working away we cover all meals and drinks otherwise no.
  7. Would you like to control via an app? If so Texecom is your only real choice. Of not I'd be getting the list to tex or g2
  8. I don't like the wide availability of tex pricing online but in their defence it is texs customer aka distributors that put it there for all to see. Ask in trade and I'll tell you this is a public thread
  9. We've had discussions on various matters and he's been great but those conversations are not for here. SW has an issue with Tex and both boss men can talk to each other who may or may not come to an agreement. If they can't then it's a gamble. If JW boycotts it (and I understand commercially why he would) then he takes a gamble IMO. If he can switch sell, James gain, Texes lost. If he can't and the customers go elsewhere because they want Tex and the other non tex gear goes elsewhere then that's Tex and distributors gain and James loss. Whatever the outcome though it's a private issue to be discussed off fair between tex and sw. From my POV currently if we buy tex, there's a reason which is usually mesh or ID. In my circumstances I'd have to buy Tex and avoid SW but equally people who use tex just because it's an alarm panel and don't use a specific feature then I can see how they could be switch sold another product.
  10. I'd assume (and it is assume) that as far as sales are concerned the sales director was top man for sales and as my question was about sw then I sent it to Peter. As it turned out that logical thought process didn't work quite how I'd have expected. Also at the time I sent that email, I didn't know Jim. Not that this is any of your business
  11. Yes it is and as for UTC selling to everyone because they are short of a few quid I'd check their product range and who they are before suggesting such wild suggestions.
  12. When you say top man, he is the managing director. Peter is the sales director, there is technical but generically speaking if you say top man this infurs md. Don't try picking a fight just because it's me or save it for the other side
  13. No, that was his sales director Peter Harries who reads emails and doesn't even bother to acknowledge them or respond to them. Different when NSI ignored his emails when beating the drum for optex. Jim is the polar opposite. I did slate Peter, correct and I stand by that slating and haven't changed my views on the guy one bit.
  14. We do exchange emails, yes. I think you might be confusing emails with me being with Jim and Adrian this week which JW mentioned. I never said nuffink . . . Diplomatic, as ever
