I agree for driving, Birmingham much more suited. All London accommodation seems way over normal rates, and if there are a few of you for 4/5 nights I can see how that won't be a welcome addition. A hour on the tube wouldn't bother me, I love the tube and the dlr. I associate IFSEC and Birmingham together, not sure if it will feel like IFSEC in the big city. Agreed it will be the year aft it moves there when we see how many people visit that will indicate if it was such a good idea. Wonder what will be at the NEC in its place.

I hadn't thought of it like that. There are a few manufacturers that have grown from their humble beginnings to supplying much further afield. It been nice to see Texecom grow from a back bedroom to you practically not been able to walk down a street without seeing a oddy bell box. I don't know how many veritas panels you've shifted over the years but equally very hard to not come across one now.

I wasn't going to go but with it being the last, I think I will. I've always wondered how effective it was for manufacturers to go. Everyone I know uses it for a bit of a pow wow with industry friends rather than serious research for new products. I heard that it costs a fair few quid to exhibit there. It hasn't seemed the same for a while now. I used to get really excited about going but it seems same old same old.
