  1. Pir tvi covert from cctv warehouse is good
  2. In the web interface it comes under schedule, advanced On the dvr direct you just tick record audio under the mainstream settings.
  3. Make sure ch1 normal and event are set to video/audio and go into schedule, continuous, i think its advanced, and make sure record audio is ticked. Also set substream to video/audio if you want audio on fluent.
  4. Relay is on the intercom itself so could be tampered with, but then again if its secure enough on a honeywell max reader why not? You could always fit a seperate lock release?
  5. D1ts are good for the price, d5ts are just damn good. Tvi is not as forgiving as analogue, dvrs are solid. Only 1 alarm receiver ip though so if your monitoring arc switch regularly its a no go. Cable faults putting 12v down the video line blow the input on the dvr.
  6. For me, normal, vbr, highest, 1296kbps max, 6fps Event(motion or pir) change to 12fps 3192kbps or 2048 depending on storage.
  7. The foil increases the capacitance of the cable which messes with the impedence matching
  8. Screened or shielded cable reduces the distance you can send video using baluns
  9. Tell me, in this industry, where would you work as an employee that you could afford a couple of houses, a couple of holidays a year and a happy mrs? Am I missing something? or are you talking about jumping over to sales?
  10. Sounds like a domonial, should be straightforward to shift if the new location has good rf pickup of the zones.
  11. Hik built in mics are ****, at least on the fisheyes and the 2542fwd-is i have found, better going for the ones with the audio inputs and outputs and fitting an external mic. Just fitted a load of ds-2cd2142fwd-is with little white variable gain mics, quality sound off them. If you pick up a hum power the mic off a seperate psu. Any hik nvr will record audio. 2722fwd-is is a 2mp vf with audio io but i always find the fixed lens give a better picture
  12. Wireless cameras are almost always utter ***** unless you are spending a fortune on them, and even then they still need power wiring to them. Any decent installer can hide cables well but dont expect a decent job from a £499 taxdodger. Please keep civil, banter is for the trade area this is the public area
  13. You can do a basic vlan via a managed switch, tplink smart switch is quite easy to setup, the connection between them however is a bit more involved.
  14. Maybe supervision failure from a dead battery?
  15. Not really an easy answer to that fault other than to say has there been any decorating or anything that might have disturbed or damaged the wiring occured in the last day or so? Or water ingress anywhere? Not answering the phone is a bit poor imo. You could try mta systems guide to silencing alarms, its on youtube.
  16. Works well on twisted pair, not tried it on power cable. I did see an install on analogue before that had baluns on alarm cable and it was fine, good picture. Use hd baluns.
  17. Dont know it but try disconnecting the hard drive, removing the coin battery for 10 mins then refit the coin battery and try powering it up with no hard drive in case that is dragging it down.
