  2. Dont know about others, but most of our systems are on UDL with RSS and most of the automated stuff is carried out out night, one in a million but if a breakin was to occur whilst carrying out a remote service and a system didnt signal where the liability going. A) Installer for connection to a system b) Comms device Going to test our preferred comms tomorrow. Ours site starts the dial out, but the automated service the panel initials the call and the record at our end if the system is set, is locked so changes cant be made.

  8. Been looking at 3cx but wondering if our current hardware would run windows good enough, i have seen desktop pcs with less, currently running freepbx on a supermicro intel atom dualcore (server grade) but when i have used windows on atoms at customers its a bit sluggish. Also looked at Elastix and PBX in a flash, asterisk now.
  9. Not really, but we used Trixbox 12 years ago and watched it develop then it became a commercial product only even though they said it wouldnt, freepbx seams to be going the same way with the modules since Sangoma bought them, i might be wrong though.
  10. Been using freepbx for along time now looking for recommendations to change to, based on security.

  14. I had a problem with wifi spoke to an IT guy and he suggested turn the wifi on the router off and get a Edimax access point, works great all round the house and even 200 yrds up the road. Used the same on jobs with flat panel aerials from building to building Apparently edimax are the biggest makers of wifi stuff.
