Chorley and Rochdale are close to us. Could do them all at a push as we already have contracts in these areas.

Guardall DT15+ fitted well over a 1000 of them with very few issues at all.

Why is it that every time I cover weekend call out due to holidays etc, I seem to get a phone call off a mate I haven’t seen for years asking if I am going out for a pint tonight.
The way it goes I suppose.

The cqr ones we have problems with have links you cut for the desired resistance.
we now use knight plastic contacts YEND 74 for 99% of our jobs.
-
We have had loads of problems with the grade 3 cqr contacts going hi res over a number of years.
just today I went to one and replaced it for this reason, the 200 mile round trip wasn’t what I needed this afternoon. This was on a galaxy 96 not that it makes any difference.

Job Security is one of those things that money cant buy, at the moment we are busy and everyone I know are busy, so there is loads of work out there and its likely to stay that way for the foreseeable. If you are busy as a Sub and happy that your workload is constant then what is the advantage to going on the cards? 28 days holiday, and a van load of sick pay, a workplace pension, overtime when a job goes over, vehicle, vehicle insurance, fuel for vehicle, phone and workwear, insurance for when you fall off the company ladder, company insurance for when you drill through a customers water pipe. ................I think I might go back on the cards
Putting it like that that I might join you.

Dose anyone still fit this stuff??

Yes, spent the last 5 years installaing, maintaining and adding to a 200+ camera site using enterprise then corporate.
Very good and very expensive.
-
Never had this problem, all ours come from dynamic and we have had few hundred of them.
we did have a 32 channel machine die when we upgraded the firmware on the commissioning day.

Sometimes it looks good then you open things up and worry what the rest of it is like
We addressed it and commissioned it and to my surprise it is all good. Will deffo use again when needed.

We used a couple of subbies recently on a fire job on a high school. To be honest they have done a 1st class job and at reasonable rates.
Far better than my last experience OX.

I will have 2 aerials and a double socket while your at it.
-
Working for free by the looks of things.
-
Cheap as chips
-
We still have a couple of these out there still working and serviced every year.

**** me.... it s a old dear with bugger all cash, who just wants something to call someone if the alarm goes off. Maybe it would make great business sense to scare the **** out of her and sign her and get her to sign up to a grade 4 monitored dual path system with monitored cctv ?
Just make sure you tie her into a 3 year contract.
-
Ha ha agreed,
i was quoting a large large barn conversion in the middle of the Lancashire countryside last week. I was explaining that grade 4 signalling was required when the guy measuring up for a new kitchen pipes up.
"I would get one of those things that phones you mobile if the alarm goes off, that's what we have on our workshop. These monitored alarms are just a rip off"

Can be done , just wire the +v to one of the outputs and program accordingly.
they will then reset automatically.
