Equation To Work Out Hard Disk Size

Evening all does anyone know how to work out how large a hard drive is required for a certain amount of days. Ie 3 cams for 31 days recording

INTRUDER,ACCESS CONTROL,CCTV,FIRE

Depends on bitrate ie constant or variable or image size. Its not as simple as 3 cams and days. The TSI app can work it out for dm etc in jpeg mode

I usually allow 4gb per day per camera @cif

I agree with Brefff...

Just worked out ours to the same figure.

H264 is a different beast though. Far more efficient.

What are you using?
