If you would have spent a bit more (quite a bit more!) you could have bought a light weight flexible BPV (Second Chance or similar) and be more comfortable and worn it for longer periods. Chances are, the day you need, you won't be wearing it :o

Actually, I got a good one, a Point Blank, allegedly good for anything up to a .45 (and most skells have 9mms nowadays).

Its actually not that heavy, I can and have worn it all day, even on the hottest most humid days.

Its the same one the NYPD issues.

And Rich, I'm not worried about people aiming at me, its more for robberies and stray gunfire than anything else.

Like I said, it used to be a LOT worse.
