Guest
Oh, and a piss poor 469 Kbps (58.6 KB/sec) 'cos we've got a network constructed using wet string round here. I can't get 1Mbit which is annoying as it was offered as a free upgrade. /looks up to sky and waves fist BT, you big you know what! 50539 Well, I take it back, (mostly)! Got an email today from Pipex saying BT got it wrong (shocker!) and I now have a 968Kbps connection. Don't think I'll be getting 4Mb for a while though. Smoke Screen
Upload speeds are a disgrace, you can pay a small fortune for a business ADSL but its the only way to get bigger pipes. 50525 You think business ADSL is a fortune ??!!?? Try SDSL. My results BTW: Downstream 1777 Kbps (222.1 KB/sec) 1919 Kbps (inc. overheads) Upstream 242 Kbps (30.3 KB/sec) 261 Kbps (inc. overheads BT have actually got quite close to what they sold me and that is wirelessly routed (not that it should make a difference, but it does) Matt Gilmartin, Sales Director T: +44(01205) 821111 | F: +44(01205) 820316 info@smoke-screen.co.uk | www.smoke-screen.co.uk Head office: 1-2 North End, Swineshead, Boston, Lincs PE20 3LR Registered in the UK no. 2728491

amateurandy
18698kbps down (sync 20783kbps) 1103kbps up (sync 1369kbps) The delights of Be ADSL2+ Note for CCTV people - a friend of mine uses Be with the "upload Plus" option and gets over 2500kbps upstream. In his case that's for videoconferencing.
