They are fine for functional switching but for isolation according to the regs all live poles should be switched with a minimum of 3mm contact gap. A single pole fused spur doesn't do this as it doesn't disconnect the neutral. August 20, 200520 yr comment_65187 No, I'm telling you that all unswitched 13A connection units are not suitable for using as isolators for fixed equipment, never have been, never will be. For correct isolation of single phase fixed equipment with one supply only double pole isolators, such as switched fused connection units or the Contactum DP key switched spurs, will comply.
