February 16, 200521 yr comment_40700 Has any one got an idea why all my USB ports have died and I get a message saying USB Device Not reconised. This all happend when I pluged my camera in the port as normal. I have uninstalled drivers and reinstalled and still nothing. February 16, 200521 yr comment_40703 Sometimes you have to install drivers first, then plug in the device. If you did it otherwise, Windows won't find the driver for the device even if its there - it just won't match between them. So, what you need to do is the following: 0. Unplug the devices 1. Uninstall the USB drivers (many driver installation utilities have "Uninstall" option) 2. Reboot (for safety) 3. Install the USB drivers for those devices 4. Plug the device in. If this is the course of action - problem will be solved. Another thing which is probable: USB 2.0 issue - probably your devices can't work on USB 2.0 ports? Everything is unpluged and drivers uninstalled But I still get the banner pop up wind USB devices Bla Bla Bla. Nothing has been changed or updated.
