Haha, thanks for the warm (and realistic) welcome, MrHappy! I'll try to make the most of the 'honeymoon phase' while I can. Looking forward to diving into the technical discussions here.

Welcome to the forum, the UK security industry has been somewhat slow on IP based and smart integration stuff apart from maybe CCTV. It may have something to do with manufacturers being worried about opening systems up to further compromise. (If its not connected to the internet it cant be easily hacked) We are beginning to catch up now though.
