A1 Omnicron 7000 Scrambled

Featured Replies

Please can an Omnicron 7000 expert help me, I rang Honeywell who took over ADE but they act as if I am asking about a dinosaur.

Yesterday an engineer came to fit security light and asked that electric be switched off at the mains.

No warning that alarm could be scrambled.

Since then,  I can not set night alarm it keeps going off , have tried reading manual but it does not address this, did a reset pressing 0 but still same,

Alarm just  can not be set,  keeps going off once I get to upstairs sensor.

please advise

replace the controls

They were garbage decades ago, programming would go loopy at random.

It's not the electricians fault, no system should be affected from a power loss.

It wants decommissioning or replacing, even if you fixed the programming it's knackered and unreliable.

Omnicrom horrible DIY panels 30 years ago, sold in Maplins.

i would guess it hasnt been serviced in a long  while I would say that if it had, the battery would have prevented this from failing. But that said the Omnicrom used to fail if you sneezed near it.

Most good engineers wouldnt touch it, and those that have regret it
