Help Fitting Texecom Odyssey X-BE bell box to Accenta G3 Alarm

Featured Replies

Hi all, hopefully someone can sensecheck this.

Due to my old bellbox being very old and the strobe failed, I'm trying to install a new Texecom X-BE bellbox to an Accenta G3 Panel.

The original box had the following wiring;

PANEL.   OLD BELLBOX
SCB-A.     TAMPER
SCB-T.      TAMPER
NEG.         STROBE
+               STROBE
B.               SIREN
D.               SIREN

I have wired to the new bellbox as follows;

PANEL.     NEW BELLBOX X-BE
SCB-A.     A (12V)
SCB-T.      (Unused as the bellbox is a neg strobe)
NEG.         S (Strobe)
+.               C (Tamp)
B.               BELL
D.               D (0V)

On switching on the panel after installation, there doesn't appear to be any power to the bellbox and no activity at all. Does the wiring look correct?

Also the old bellbox was a basic siren, strobe and tamper type. Should new new bellbox be in SAB or SCB mode?

Many thanks for your help.

Jeff.

SAB mode assuming the panel can handle it/

I started replying but i dont use adb etc, photo of each end please?

From what i can make of your description its wired wrong.

Hopefully a +ve on both tampers hasn't blown the panel or bell.

SAB/SCB mode will be irrelevant to get it working.
