Wire old Yale siren to new wired/wireless panel?

Featured Replies

Hi There
Need a bit of advice wiring an old yale exterior alarm siren to a new GSM wired/wireless alarm panel

Yale siren has 5 terminals - SRN and STB I think are Bell trig and RTN is bell tamper which isn't needed. The other two are obviously + and - 12V

The new panel has just two + and - Bell and + and - 12V available.

Sorry if this is obvious but can I ask if I can wire this old siren to the new box, I don't want to burn anything out
Do I just wire SRN and STB to the Bell + and - and the Bell supply to + and - 12V on the panel?

Thanks
Al

Connect srn and stb to bell - I'd assume that's a switched output. Is there no tamper input on the new one?

A decent system would allow both house and outbuildings to work as two systems, individually controlled but managed and notified as one...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
