Hi just had automated gates fitted and would like to know the most cost effective way of an intercom system.  Ideally would like a monitor one end of the house and a handset the other end, each being able to unlock the gates   Obviously the budget has gone on the gates 

Do you have cables to these points?

Assumed when you dug everything up you ran cat5 cable to locations from house to gates  and power cables etc?
