JohnJohnJohn
Hello Everyone, I have recently bought a house and I have already PowerMaster10 ADT security alarm installed but I have no installer (or master installer?) codes for it to change code for arming and disarming alarm. I tried reset it according to instruction found on the internet but it didn't work. Any chance to reuse it or it is junk now? datadiffusion
If it's ex-ADT I would assume junk status simply due to the fact the codes are probably locked. Whether you can get a new main unit and re-sure the sensors though, would be for someone else to answer? So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43073-powermaster10-adt/#findComment-488016 Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
Either get ADT in or start again with everything. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43073-powermaster10-adt/#findComment-488017 Share on other sites
JohnJohnJohn
Ok, thank you for quick answer. I have another question then: Hi, Can I arm/disarm this alarm from my mobile without adt subscription? It has mobile modem to report events. sixwheeledbeast
VisonicGo works without a subscription AFAIK. but I don't know if that can be setup without accessing the engineers menu. JohnJohnJohn
Ok, thank you for that info. Without ADT subscription once alarm is trigger, how long it will be on? Can that be set without master installer code? I only have user code but I can add or delete devices etc. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/43073-powermaster10-adt/#findComment-488020 Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
Standard panel defaults to 8 minutes bell time but no idea with ADT model it's likely got different default settings with it's custom firmware. Detection devices and bell times would be installer programming only. JohnJohnJohn
So anyway it is a bit dangerous leaving possible access to my home security system... How can I be sure that somebody who can (have) access to my security alarm not gonna disarm it while I'm away? It not safe, is it? norman
People rarely go to that much trouble, they will just kick a door in and be back out in <3 minutes. If you are concerned get a professional in to advise and sort it. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
