Cheers Al Edited May 16, 2019 by Al H Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42810-exodus-smoke-detectors/ Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
Why Texe? Would have to be RR if you consider the kitchen or garage sensor to be exposed to dust, car fumes, cooking fumes, steam etc. OH would detect a smouldering fire quicker tho. Al H
Hi 6WD. Just think Texecom look better. Thanks for the help. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42810-exodus-smoke-detectors/#findComment-484468 Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
Only issue with Texe ones is they rely on a working alarm system and have no redundancy if the alarm fails, in any fault or fire condition. Just something to consider. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42810-exodus-smoke-detectors/#findComment-484471 Share on other sites

Just something to consider. Wireless ones better yeah? Like Honeywell hkc , do texe do a wireless smoke? I mean wireless with built in sounder of course so can act independently , not that it can take the place of a proper fire alarm Edited May 19, 2019 by al-yeti Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/42810-exodus-smoke-detectors/#findComment-484472 Share on other sites
sixwheeledbeast
Texe have a wireless smoke kit that will work independently but it's not Exodus brand it's Rick O Shea. I would use something like Aico 180 Series for low voltage supply. Fire alarm controls a bit overkill for your standard domestic house.
