Rodders69
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I moved into my new house 2 weeks ago and the intruder alarm was working fine, I just entered a code to set and the same code to unset. I had to install a new light in the living room so I knocked the mains electricity off for the whole house. It was off for around 5 minutes and then straight back on. When I came to set my alarm later on, I entered my code but nothing happened, no beeps to tell me to leave. The panel looks healthy and isn't displaying any faults. The alarm is a paragon plus, I managed to locate a manual online but can't see anything in it. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get it working again. Thanks in advance
norman
Good chance the internal back up battery needs replacing, take the opportunity to have it serviced too by a reputable company. Rodders69
Thanks for the prompt response. If it's the internal battery, wouldn't that mean that the alarm would've sounded when I cut the power?
Rulland
Not if the external sounder has a duff battery too. Paragon is quite an old panel, soooo. Edited December 13, 2016 by Rulland Additions

Rodders69
Brill. Thanks for giving me somewhere to start. Might be worth looking into getting a new box.
