I've just changed battery in my alarm following a power cut.  Alarm has zones 1-5 however when I try to set alarm zones 6-8 flash and alarm won't reset. Any ideas

What panel is it? It might have lost its memory and defaulted.

It's the small keypad on the wall. I e opened it up but it's just like a remote control. There's no way of changing the zones permanently.

What model is it? Sounds like it will need reprogramming, best to call your installer for a service and reprogram.
