PIR as entry sensor , Texecom Premier

Recommended Posts

Hello,

would like to set a Texecom Premier 816 with a wired PIR sensor in entry hall (no door contact) , and would like to know if this sensor can be active while arming the alarm because the PIR sees me in the hall. (In an old DSC PC1500 I had, door sensor should be closed)

Entry/exit zone in installation manual says  "The zone can be activated during the exit mode without causing a ‘Fault’  "  ,I don't know if zone can be activated only after arming  or if it also refers that it can be "active" while arming.

Thank you

The 816 doesn't have the same programming structure as the Premier/Elite 12 to 640's

have to be honest never had much to do with them so I would be looking at the manual and trying to work it out.

Wintex does have the options marked with the code used at the keypad to access them.

Have looked at the Elite Manual and it includes the Timed Exit, but not the Premier one, so it's not available for premier panels? (don't have the panel to test, only manuals)

J&D , in Zone Attributes 2 there is "Enable Force Arming" as an attribute to a zone "The user can arm the system/partition with the zone violated."

I don't know if this attribute can be assigned to the "Delay 1" zone (entry), I suppose yes,

Also I asked to Texecom mail and they answered that "the international panel it is automatically a timed set"  "As long as the zone is not active once the timer has expired then it will set".

Anyway, if Timed exit works from default or Force arming zone can be set as an attribute, there will be chances for the PIR to work as entry sensor

You need the 412/816/832 manual if you have the 816 panel, the premier 24,48 etc and the Elite manuals would be no good to you.

the 412/816 and 832 were mainly international panels, although UK variants exist (UK bell module).

how long is the exit delay timer set to?
