I have measured the battery voltage, it only 8.5V. it much low than the rated 12V. What is the fuction of the battery? Only for back up when main power off?

If it has been like this for a while it may have damaged the charging circuit, what is the voltage on the leads without the battery connected

so if the battery voltage is low, is it possible to cause it off?

No put new one in, they are cheap to an extent

probably the battery, but running it so low can damage the panel.

just run without the battery connected and does it still false alarm? I suspect not.

Then replace the battery and see what happens, if it messes up again then replace the panel.

Hi,

I have replaced the battery but after I try to use several times in the night and it give 2 false alarm. After I stop the sound by tap pin number and the day light is off. I try to reset the system afterwards but never get it working again with day light off and can not hear the bip when i press the number key. Can someone give me a clue what is wrong?

thanks

From that description it could be many things my guess would be that the charging circuit did get damaged from the earlier problem, I would lay money that your new battery is not charging. check the voltage
