secureiam
Interestingly what are the benefits of going NSI/ SSAIB, did an install for some police officers recently and they wouldnt opt for a police response because they dont believe the police are likely to respond? Many don't , but many still do want it Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39792-engineer-for-5-years-trying-to-build-a-solid-knowledge-base/page/3/#findComment-441850 Share on other sites
Shaunb1905
Having this debate myself, we are a fire company thinking of setting up a security side but do we really need to go down the NSI/SSAIB Route? Wyatthaplo
I would say the police response is pretty good with PA signals though from my experience anyway. I damaged a PA cable once about 3 years ago when doing some electrics and they were there in less then ten minutes and it was a relatively out of the way property aswell. Work Website: http://www.welch-group.co.uk/ Personal Blog: http://wyatthaplo.blogspot.com/ Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39792-engineer-for-5-years-trying-to-build-a-solid-knowledge-base/page/3/#findComment-441856 Share on other sites

You better hire someone who knows the regs or I suppose get allot of training yourself Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39792-engineer-for-5-years-trying-to-build-a-solid-knowledge-base/page/3/#findComment-441858 Share on other sites

Joe Doherty
Response differs force to force, police scotland muts nuts at responding as per say well lancashire no comment on that lol. Kent Fire no longer offer a response to AFAs even out of hours, have known a kh attend and put a small fire out then go home Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39792-engineer-for-5-years-trying-to-build-a-solid-knowledge-base/page/3/#findComment-441865 Share on other sites
