dwdave Posted June 30, 2015 Share Posted June 30, 2015 I've got the Galaxy 500 panel powered up and have hooked in the RS232 module for use alongside Galaxy Gold. I just cant seem to get the two to talk to each other. I set up the coms ports (on PC) but the option to "Dial" site is greyed out. Its been ages since ive used it but I must be overlooking something. Any ideas? Thanks. 'till the next question ... dwdave Posted July 2, 2015 Author Share Posted July 2, 2015 I'm pretty sure one of the cables is one I've used before but I will check. I've got a serial cable and a converter to up size it to parallel. I will set the baud rate at 9600 on the module, galaxy gold and the comm port of the pc. From what I recall it just plugs into the S1 socket on the 500's main board. It doesn't need Extra Lines does it? Thanks 'till the next question ...
