Who would allow or disallow the concrete? There's probably reinforcement in it but it'll be cut close by the core drill.

There either is or isn't reinforcement but if there isn't you'd have thought it was an insurance stipulation at the very least. Who knows? I suppose with the farce that followed it is largely irrelevant and they shouldn't have been able to get that far in the first place.

I meant there will be, it'd be part of the build spec regardless of use of the room for concrete that thick I'd suspect. But where it's been drilled you wont be able to see it, only close up.
