hello there im an engineer from peterborough and have been called to an issue wit ha karisma id system.

 

the display is an 8 bit display instead of the lcd one.

 

i need the alarm to give a confirmed set tone at the end of the exit tone.

 

according to the customer it did it once upon a time but stopped working after the alarm was factory reset when he lost his codes and i didnt have access to the engineer code.

 

the system is now all working except for this exit confirmation. from what i can see it must be an output programming option but i cant figure out how to do it. If anyone has any experience with these alarms can i please have some advice

I assume buzzer on exit route or in ewd ?

there are 2 outputs, (p1 =4 p2 = 5)

assuming p1 from eng press "9,4,1,enter"

It's an existing system and has an internal sounder just wondered if I could use that?

I assume the the bell output & the set output are linked ?

I'm not sure I'm not on site at the minute. I just wanted some info before I attended because the customer is a bit tricky...

Ok I found out nothing was in output 1 or 2 and it used to still give a confirmed tone

So the 'tricky' customer says!, did you default it?. If you did then it's the usual 'you make it work better than it was' scenario, good luck mate, lol.

In their imagination...? I don't know the panel so can't comment. But if it just came at the end of setting tones from the same speaker, sounds like the kind of thing that wouldn't be alterable?

Can't remember do they have a strobe on set output? If so maybe this pluses some kind of sounder. We have a few out there and I don't remember there being a set confirm on them tbh
