I bought a security system, house is prewired for it and I am trying to install it.  I build computers and get along with technology pretty well but I cant find any simple instructions that tells me how to wire the thing.  All I want to know at this point is:

 

Where to stick which wires!

 

The attached is my board but mine does not have the cellular add on o ignore that portion for now please.

 

I know where the battery, ac and siren connect to.  I do not know where to connect the extenders, zones or keypad wires.

 

If someone could simply label what each connection is for in lamens terms that would be AWESOME as I should be able to figure everything else out.

 

I.E.:

First two screws are for you wall plug.

Second two screws are for your siren.

 

I would greatly appreciate any help someone can give me!

A better photo where i can read the terminals would help. Plus a decent photo of the label on the left

Why do all the panels have external AC bricks over there?

 

No such thing as a fused spur!?

 

Or one state somewhere won't let non electricians touch electrics or something hence

everyone has to go external.

Ya you connect the wires to brick and plug it in the socket, or I suppose you can wire it direct to a socket.  Seems like a lot of the security information is kept from the public.  My guess is that somewhere someone keeps it difficult to find so that you have to pay an installer $1,000 to spend a half hour hooking up wires.  All the wifi systems are made to be plug and play, its the wired systems they havnt made any easier.

 

Ok, I figured out how to do an additional image, let me know if it doesnt work.  This is the board as it is right now.  I blacked out the numbers because I dont know what ones/if any are used for the ip support yet.

 

 

Security systems do have restricted info, not for the reasons you suggest but for security reasons. WiFi isn't normally used to protect people or property. Ill look at the image on a pc as my phone i cant zoom in.
