Hmmm will have to have a test before I order mine.

To be fair it could be our unfamiliarity with it. There are a few profiles in command center for Galaxy so it could just be we are using the wrong one as it isn't documented in the setup guide.

We have had plenty of Webways connected to GD's that worked perfectly well.

The G2 offlines RSS if any event messages are being sent out.

Forgot to add that RSS doesn't like it either. It loses connection and then informs that site is still connected when you attempt reconnection for a bit.

So G2 not a match made in heaven for UDL use then?

Is this just a webway issue or does this occur with the Ethernet module of Honeywells too?

Yes, includes Ethernet.  It's the CPU that drops RSS off to give priority to the messaging system.  I'm assuming that the Webway is emulating Ethernet on the RS485 bus, so it will be impacted in the same way.   Honeywell say it's supposed to work this way, but more likely the G2 CPU getting to the limits of its capability.

Yes the SPT emulates a ethernet module. To be fair if it doesn't work with Honeywells own gear then not much chance of a 3rd party.

I suspect you are bang on with the CPU issue as you have to set a hardware priority for the SPT as it can't deal with multiple signalling at the same time. Suppose anyone using G2's has just to accept it isn't brilliant for UDL, no matter if you choose their solution or anyone elses.

If it's problematic, if we come across any G2's they can get binned for a small ATS as they are not the largest of systems.

Thanks for the feedback, you just saved me a ton of wasted time. :proud:

We use the PSTN for UDL and don't get any issues, unless it's a digi and wants to dial out. But I suppose if the webway is on the Ethernet.
