July 13, 201213 yr comment_286014 Evening all, Got a question for you.... I'm adding a honeywell informa dialler to my CP8L. I plan to connect to PGM1 and program as alarm. My question is if anyone knows if PGM1 will be 0V or positive on activation. A quick scan on the installation manual and i couldnt find that out. I assume positive but would like to double check as the informa can be progammed as positive or negative inputs. Many thanks in advance guys Dave Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/33163-eurosec-cp8l-pgm1-question/ Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 13, 201213 yr Author comment_286016 Found this but might as well be spanish to me!!!! PGM 1 PGM1 terminals are an open collector output held at 12V through an integral 1k resistor. Max current sink into PGM 1 terminals is 50mA. Does that confirm that it sits at 12v and then drops to 0v on activation?? July 13, 201213 yr Author comment_286020 Thanks James that ace. I take it the resistive pull up is to keep it at 12v and stop it wandering higher? Just for info!! July 14, 201213 yr Author comment_286032 You can use pgm but I would wire into bell trigger on the panel to dial out but both is ok I was going to use bell trigger if i could'nt sus out pgm1, But thinking about it bell might be a better option as it will also dial if the alarm is trigger by panic or any other event. I will see if i can figure out if the bell trigger goes high or low. July 14, 201213 yr comment_286034 The bell trigger is definetly swithed 0v. If you have fire etc then use additional output and program them accordingly. ie intruder as one, pa as another. Also you will then know remotly what has triggered the alarm. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
