I'm sure I've seen one of these somewhere ie a DVR that accepts IP cams and coax cams. Can anyone confirm this with a make/model?

There's a few.

Only ever fitted a Vista Blade myself.

Can be a minefield Driller, compatibility with IP cameras you would like to use is one concern. No comprehensive standard for IP, Onvif is closest but not perfect.

If you cannot find a satisfactory HD-SDi solution now, there will be one very soon I predict.

Ok, thanks, sounds like it could be complicated. I'll have look at that Vista blade though.

This is actually for a colleague who's talking about mixing IP and SD cameras, I'll tell him to stop it at once!

They need to get this HD-SDi stuff sorted soon and better prices, it looks really promising.
