Lol!

Generally HD-SDi should not be any poorer than MP IP at night as the sensors can be the same, taking similar quality cameras into account ofcourse.

Night performance of any Mega pixel camera has been their weak point for a long time, although it has improved significantly of the last few years. Compared to the same size sensor chip for analog, there are many more pixels crammed in which reduces their sensitivity to light.

Also the HD-SDi cameras I have seen appear to have roughly the same number of LEDs as analog equivalents, with 5 times the resolution this seems inadequate to me for anything other than close range, IP cameras the same story so not limited to HD-SDi.
