Peeps,

I have a problem i cant seem to fix.

My G2 is all working fine.

However, i want to add an additional PIR i have wired. Problem is, everytime i try and connect the 12volts that feeds the PIR, the bellbox starts ringing and the keypad goes blank.

Disconnect the neg and the bellbox stop ringing and the keypad returns to normal with an alert message.

No fuses blown etc. I a little lost???

Can anyone give me some advice so i can add this additional PIR

1st thing, what terminals are you getting the 12v supply for the PIR from

( Where on the PCB )?

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

Ok. Update,

I have a blown battery fuse. Fuse replaced.

I have 4 PIRs powered off one set of aux contacts

I also have a dialler and the keypad powered off the second set of aux contacts

So i just tried taking the (pos)+ out of the feed to the PIRs and the bellbox outside started ringing.

The keypad was ok this time. However the bellbox rings until i reconnect the (pos)+ feed to the PIRs???

Panel in Engineering mode

Can anyone help???

If that is were the bell is powered from, it will ring if there is no power to it (engineering mode or not).

The bell has a battery that takes over if it loses power.

That said the bell power should be taken from it's own terminals not the AUX.

Bell is powered from its own 12v supply at the bottom of the circuit board.

Its got me stumped???
