When the alarm is activated, then the soundbomb kicks in together with the external sounder. The method suggested in your post would only mean that I get a soundbomb when the alarm is triggered. Is this such a bad installation that needs to be changed?

However as you rightly said, I have a Quad Piezo internal sounder and not a speaker.

I understand the reason, this is why I suggested a speaker in an older post.

It does need to be changed, that output is only designed for a 16ohm load.

If you still want the loud noise on activation, wire the soundbomb with the bell.

Our apprentice apparently blew a Veritas panel wiring a soundbomb into the speaker output, for what they cost you may as well have it right http://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_45&products_id=662

As mentioned wiring a soundbomb across the speaker terminals is/may well blow the speaker output.

Extension speaker as above is best all round.

Noted guys... will fix as instructed:

Connect the red wire from sounder to Control Panel (A) + 12V

Connect the black wire from sounder to Control Panel (B) Bell -
