hi there i have a texecom prem24 and i have the id24 expander fitted all detectors work perfect except 1 i have assigned the shock attribute to a viper which is suposed to swith the entry/exit zone to a instant ( guard ) zone for a few seconds however when the detector is activated it causes a full alarm can any one shed some light on why this happens or is the zone programming incorrect

thanx

What do you want this circuit to do mate. Is it to start entry time or be delayed after entry time.

Alter ill change your account to trade only later.

James

why? did i ask you to do that?

i posted part of an engineer manual in error.

Is it possible to view only topics posted by bona fide trades persons?

Could an admin please set me up to view only trade related posts please?

I think your going to want to use zone type 4 - Guard Access

4 - Guard Access

normally used for detection devices along the entry/exit route.

This zone type will allow the user to walk past the detector

without causing a ‘Fault’ during the exit mode or an Intruder

alarm during the entry mode, however, the zone will cause an

immediate Intruder alarm if activated at any other time. This

zone type will also start the entry mode when the system/area

is part armed and activate any output programmed as ‘Guard

Access Alarm’.

I presume you have used this option

! - Shock

Zones with this attribute will cause any ‘Entry/Exit 1’ zone type

to automatically become a ‘Guard’ zone for 10 seconds.

Zones without this attribute will respond as normal.

If so that is designed to make an entry door circuit become an immediate zone IF the shock sensor on the front door activates before the door opens etc.

I dont think that is what your wanting to achieve
