If it already connects by network why not use these

I have used them successfully over approx 3/4 of a mile and it provides a solid 10meg link

then they can ditch the broadband at the barn end

set one as access point and the other as client

Surely as intermet ix in place using high end dvr would be more cost effective than running cables?

Another idea is a mid ranged even budget dvr hooked to a local pc, pc accessed via gotomypc for faster updates.

Was looking at something similar from BT Direct (Dabs.com).
