Running Comms Cables In Parallel With Mains

Featured Replies

Thought about this today, understandably it's considered a no-no.

Was driving along today and happened to look up at a 10 meter high sodium arc lamp post with a camera on top.

That's a lot of parallel cable.

Purely for interest, does any extra care have to be taken over screening in this situation?

We don't have a problem with it and 100-300 metre runs are not uncommon. Thats with 8729

A lot of those are wireless types too.
