aluk
Premier 48 v8.25 software with Zone 1 set up as Guard Access type in Area A. Quote from manual "This zone type will also start the entry mode when the system/area is part armed and activate any output programmed as "Guard Access Alarm." Therefore when the system is part armed, my interpretation is that activating zone 1 should start the entry timer, and give me 30 seconds to type in my code and unset the system. However, activating Zone 1 when part set seems to set off an immediate intruder alarm. Is my interpretation incorrect?

james.wilson
on the prem zone types are overwridden by attributes. Galaxy has a similar zone type for security zones that are then e/e during setting etc. Allows fire doors to be protected during the day, but used as final doors too. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. aluk
The zone is a kitchen pir sensor, which is on the exit route. Guard Access works correctly when full arming on leaving the house, as activating the zone during the exit or entry timer does not set off the alarm. Activating the zone when the system is full armed causes an immediate alarm, which is correct. I would like to use part set in the evening, such that the downstairs internal pirs start the entry timer when activated, not cause an immediate alarm. Is it possible to do this? Thanks! arfur mo
again, on all the panels i've ever used, 'access' is a pass through, i.e armed when set immediate response only if the/a final door is not opened 1st. Gardtec Risco panels (which i use), has a zone type setting to make your kitchen and other PIR's act as the final door in part set i.e. 'entry/exit in part set' not plain 'access'. i'm sure someone will post the exact reference when read, many know the panel. failing that try -: Technical Support: UK Customers Tel: 08456 300 600 you might be lucky Arfur If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! breff
You have to give the zone the entry attribute The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
aluk
Thanks all. I needed to set the zone as "Guard Access", which automatically sets the "Access" attribute, and then set the Entry/Exit 2 attribute. Works great now.
