Wiring A Galaxy

Featured Replies

Can anyone please post a photograph of the inside of thier galaxy panel.

Id like to see how neat and tidy it should be and how resistors are wired in etc.

If you are willing to help, but not willing to post on here then let me know and I'll supply an e-mail address.

If you see resistors inside the panel its not been fitted correctly!

although i agree with the above in wiring/engineering sense it is also good practice to link out unused zones with resistors so it is possible to see resistors in the end station (and RIOS)

lol i can see both points.

I agree its best practice to link out the circuits but not usually required, and yes if there are resistors in the circuits then its been bodged. (other than link outs)

Lol, personally I never link out the unused zones.

What good does it do? They are programmed out of the system and will do nothing.

;)

TO be honest i dont know. Unused is unused in my book

A Galaxy rep once told me they use link outs to stop dust getting into the terminations. Was difficult not to laugh until he had left site. Plus he did not understand a G3-520 as well as he thought.

you don't need to be a trade member, have made 15 posts or even be logged in to see the gallery so I can't help on that one, sorry.
