There is a keypad wired for in the vacinity where I would want a speaker. Are you saying that I can take a new feed for the spaeker from the keypad? Will the speaker then be able to be programmed to go off when any door contacts are openned downstairs (that will be wired back to the main control panel?

I've never used a 48 so I can't answer directly but with most panels the keypad speaker can be programmed to follow the main speaker so yes it would work.

2 zones available on keypad. Think about it. ;)

Unless you're in a mansion or are stone deaf you'll hear what ever chimes downstairs, every keypad will chime, and you've got 4
