Which would you chose out of these two for my circumstances

1- 3 bed semi

2- No pets

3- Already have a wired system connecting 3 PIR sensors and 2 Door contacts.

4- Need to add one more wireless PIR sensor as well as a Smoke detector.

5- Need a Keypad with proximity detector & 4 fobs (important for grandparents & ease of use; plus Police response)

6-Need to be able to arm individual zones (downstairs / upstairs / Kitchen).

7-Would like the choice of having a speech dialer if I wanted to.

I understand both are grade2 & PD6662 compliant for police response. But not sure which would fully meet my needs and which is more reliable.

I was under the impression that both panels are good for Police response.

the 490x can be used i think for police-calling

but the 2-20 or even better the 2-44 has room inside for a dual signalling device, where as the 490x doesnt.

I actually thought the 490x is the equivalent Gardtec to the Galaxy 2-20?

If not, then which Gardtec panel is?

I've confused you sorry - as redbull says, both will cope with monitoring.

I just meant that the Galaxy panel has a choice of SMS text signalling or monitoring via a 3rd party.

Redbull, it seems that the only difference between the 2-20 and 2-44 (in standard configuration) is that the 2-44 has more zones & outputs than the 2-20

but, in my case a 3bed semi, the 2-20 fits the bill I think.

I understand the 2-44 can also have (GSM Modem & 2-way voice) as optional extras, but that's it, right? Or did I miss something?

the 44 is also a bigger box so can accomodate additional communicators etc inside the case.
