Ahh, but then you would get full alarm with system set! (though could omit that zone each time you set system)

On a recent scanny could use tech alarm for pulsed tone from keypad when unset & nothing when set, but alert that doorbell pushed whilst you was out.

PITA IMO.

Won't that give an internal alarm when unset and a full alarm when set?

I'm a bit out of touch but I seem to remember you could program a zone as ET (exit terminate) and program it as chime on some panels.

24 hour is definately not the way to go!

Agreed. Would be helpful if you (samnaffy) could tell us what panel

I have a doorbell on my alarm, I put the zone in it's own ward and inverted the zone, works well.

I suppose you an only do it on a panel with wards/groups etc?
