FASTCAR
Program the system so as the zone types change function on PART set. eg . landing sensor off on part set , hall sensor e/e , lounge access etc. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/25512-setting-systemprogramming-veritas-r8/#findComment-216267 Share on other sites
Omega
It is perfectly possible to set the system in this way. When going to bed the 4 infra reds will have to be programmed as intermediate entrywhen used as part set. When leaving the bedroom , the first PIR to be activated will need to be programmed as FX and any other detectors on route to the panel will require programming as IX Hope this helps Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/25512-setting-systemprogramming-veritas-r8/#findComment-216269 Share on other sites
A-G
The configuration you need can only be programmed from the engineering menu, not from the user menu. If the alarm was installed by an alarm company, ask them to change it. If it was a good company, it would already be programmed to enable you to set it correctly at bed time ... so maybe it is. Have you checked? . . . PM me for access to the SSAIB members discussion area. thedog
Is it possible to set it up so that when I wake up and leave the bedroom the pir sensors activate but give me say 30 secs to get downstairs to deactivate at the panel before full alarm?? As part of the house purchase the intruder alarm was first fixed only and the panel and devices were purchased and fitted seperately. I fitted the panel and devices. I would now like to set the alarm on an evening but I have never programmed it like that before. Chorlton
what your asking is an engineering function. you will require the engineer code & manual both of which we do not provide. if you already have the above we can give some assistance. Yes , you can have different exit / entry timers for FULL set and PART set. Have a look in the manual at options 2.1 and 2.2 for the zone function change. Gopher
Can the Veritas R8 support another keypad, as that could be another way to do it, put the keypad upstairs, setup the part-set so that the PIR that covers where you've put the keypad is the E/E zone that way it's much more secure. That is of course if you can cable from where you wish to put the keypad to the Alarm Panel, check the manual if you can do this and how it would be wired up. Intruder / CCTV / Access Control Technical Support Personal Subscriber to the "K.I.S.S" principle, that's Keep It Simple Stupid, are you?
