Can the Veritas R8 support another keypad, as that could be another way to do it, put the keypad upstairs, setup the part-set so that the PIR that covers where you've put the keypad is the E/E zone that way it's much more secure.

That is of course if you can cable from where you wish to put the keypad to the Alarm Panel, check the manual if you can do this and how it would be wired up.

It would be cheaper, easier, less disruptive ... and ultimately better ... to get an alarm company in to programme your alarm
