April 1, 200818 yr comment_194169 Intresting... So, cut throught the shutter, avoiding the contacts. Maybe they had been in the place before, and masked the detectors(assuming their not A/M D.T's.) If so lets hope they did an RA on survey. A site like that must be grade 3? Well dual path signaling is a start Edited April 1, 200818 yr by whistle Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/22785-the-alarm-system-failed/page/2/#findComment-194169 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 April 1, 200818 yr comment_194171 Quite right, unless it was installed before EN/PD came into force. I wonder if the outcome will ever be made public. April 1, 200818 yr comment_194173 I feel sorry for the engineer in the position he is in. This guy might have not fitted the system but felt like a fud when the cameras etc were there. I hope the story does come out not only for the alarm comp that installed the system to take note but for all other companies to make sure every device is to spec as we all do though. I would hate to be in the alarm companys shoes right now! Must be a nightmare. Could it hve been an inside job????? It has happened before but the log should say who armed the system. If it was my site then the place would have all detection and back up! They stole my red mitsi!!! lol Edited April 1, 200818 yr by Scottish Engineer ! April 1, 200818 yr comment_194176 my guess is some sort of non confirmed signal due to design, if so this could be the first major fail due to design of confirmation. April 1, 200818 yr comment_194178 Quote Our system does use dual zone protection, it seems as if the alarm did its job but for some reason the monitoring station didn't get the signal, which is where the thieves could have bypassed the signal.
