We are trying to evaluate a wireless alarm system for installation at a number f our clients premises. The sytem will require monitoring and should be a reliable product. The choices are:

Scantronic Homelink75

Response SA5

Visonic Powermax+

Hi Aziz,

Gardtec is also a good system and is my choice, but really there is far more to it than that, i.e. suitability and detectors range of features like pet freindly options.

you should also be best guided by your regular/chosen installer as to the grading for the sites of (G4 being the highest), radio can only atain G2 which is fine for most 3 up 2 down houses.

the majority of pro installers don't really like radio kit and so only use it when wired is not viable, and it is he/she who will have to eventually sort out any problems should they arise.

as arfur says, gardtec is my choice aswell.

one thing to do is remove the response system from your choice list, DIY stuff.

Yep Gardtec, junk the Response kit.

But not their wireless ext sounder.

ESP Infinate is excellent

Used to install lot of Visonic Powermax but rubbish Tech help and unreliable suppliers changed that
