probably a pull cord i would say.

just make sure that both the switches are off when he leaves the bedroom.

its got a switch on the outside wall

its too easy to just fit a two way at the bedroom door but it doesnt sound possible to have a switch that will only turn on one lamp but switch off two

it might be we have to look at the home automation side of things and use a control

It will change position if it's two way, how would he remember to check it if he already forgets is the problem?

Here we go, ink the light in the en-suite to a relay 12v 10A octal, fire the relay from an output when you set the alarm full set, it will be off when you are out at least!

Occpancy sensor would be easy if there is a loft space though....

forget the switches then what about home auto mation - thinking control unit / matrix type switching / mood lighting etc

Get Carlsberg in. Don't know if they do it but it will probably be the best if they do :whistle:
