rob walton
Hi guys, Can anyone tell me how texecom engineer hold off works. I want to de-commission a system with a DSC panel and a Texecom sounder. I dont know the engineer code and would like to do it quietly. Can this be done, I have the user code ? .
ian.cant
I maybe wrong on this as ive never used the eng hold off but i believe it needs a +ve at the terminal on the bell mod/pcb. If its not connected at the bell then your paddle has gone missing. Get your ladders of and disconnect the bell first is going to be the quietest way if your quick! ranger
I thought the engineer hold of on texecom was designed for when you are starting up the bell Not sure if the same applies when taking it down Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else. dpaengineer
...need to know the code number to initiate the hold off mode, but probably better not to post it on. Can be done without..... But we wont go there. Just another point to add. The hold-off function is designed to work with Texecom panels. It cannot be initiated from other makes of panel. Ladders off time kid. breff
It can be made to work off ANY panel. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
